Sex, Sex, Sex. That is what this world is coming to. Now you might wander why I, a 15 year old female, am talking about sex. I mean I am only a teen right? I am not JUST a teen. I am a growing young woman whose body is experiencing things I never experienced as a child. It’s sad that my school does not inform people of sex. When young sponge-like minds like mine want information and they don’t get it at home or in the classroom, they get it from the internet. Going to the internet for help with things like this can be harmful to a young mind. One way it can be harmful is because of porn. I’ve seen it. I see how it is like. You can barely go online without seeing it pop up. It is usually always aggressive and shows no intimacy or care. So when teens like myself see this, they might think that this is how sex is suppose to be. Girls think they should be more sexual to get a guy’s attention. At least this is what media shows us. That is WRONG!!! We know more about Britney Spears than we know about Susan B. Anthony. Girls are putting these people as their role models, and look at what it is causing. Clothing stores market “sexy” clothes for younger girls because they want to look like these celebrities. I don’t feel this is wrong just because I’m a Christian. I feel this is wrong on so many levels, because it is destroying the good and innocent people in this world. Girls should be worrying more about their education and what they can do to the world, than posting selfies with barely any clothes on. We have come a long way in this world with different issues, but not all of it is good. America, the country I love, has went through so much and you would think this would bring us together. In reality, we’re being torn apart because of discrimination, greed, pride, selfishness, and because of our own stubborn minds. Technology has came a very long away in the last 100 years. It can be great… if used for the right reasons. With smart phones, kids can get porn out of their back pockets. Kids!!!! Sexuality can be a very beautiful thing but only if used the right way and for the right purposes and at the RIGHT AGE. I’ve gone on chat sites looking for friends, and all I found was sex crazed guys. It’s sickening. But hey. What are we suppose to do when our schools and parents won’t teach us a thing? There are more pregnant teens than ever and people are wandering why?? People are calling them sluts and everything else. But look at their background, this world. It’s cruelty and sickness is spreading fast.
It is common for teens to see porn
In a 2010 national survey, over a quarter of 16- to 17-year olds said they were exposed to nudity online when they did not want to see it. In addition 20% of 16-year-olds and 30% of 17-year-olds have received a “sext” (a sexually explicit text message).
More than 7 out of 10 teens hide their online behavior from their parents in some way.
35% of boys say they have viewed pornographic videos “too many times to count.”

Teens who are reading this, do NOT go to porn for the answers. That is not how sex should be. You are not a sexual item and should never be treated as such. I’m a teenager too, and at times I have no clue about things. Don’t feel bad, and look to bad things for the answers. They’re not there. Sex was meant to be a beautiful thing between a husband and wife who loved each other. And if not after marriage and before, wait until it’s someone you know who loves you and won’t break your heart.
You’re not worthless so don’t treat yourself like it. Respect yourself and you’ll gain respect. This world is ours now, so let’s make it a better place for our future children.
